PCGS Graded State Quarter Quartes For Sale
Graded State Quarters
The 50 State Quarters Program was a 10-year program that ran from 1999 to 2008 commemorating each of the 50 United States.
This was an unprecedented program by which the United States quarter's design changed five times each year for the 10-year period. States were honored in the order in which they were admitted into the Union.
This program represented the first change to the quarter since production of the Bicentennial quarter in 1975-1976. The United States Mint ceased production of the "Eagle" quarter until the 50 State Quarters Program ended in 2008.
State designs are displayed on the reverse (tails) of the quarters, while the obverse (heads) of the quarters continues to display the familiar image of George Washington. To accommodate state designs on the reverse, the words "United States of America," "Quarter Dollar," "Liberty," and "In God We Trust" all appear on the obverse.
